The 2011 US Open is now underway at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, which means the stars are making their way out to Flushing Meadows. Opening Night 2011 will feature five-time US Open champion Roger Federer and two-time champ Venus Williams in action but will also feature New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and USTA Chairman of the Board and President Jon Vegosen talking about the resilience of New Yorkers, and the Open, in the aftermatch of Hurricane Irene. Fourteen year-old singer/songwriting sensation Greyson Chance will sing the National Anthem and U.S. Marines will unfurl a giant American flag.
Watching the festivities will be US Open stalwart and 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin as well as Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon, legendary singer Tony Bennett, actress Bridget Moynahan and Brad Richards of the New York Rangers.
